iDental 2.0 — Pharmacy and Zalo Mini App

iDental 2.0 (2024 – 2025) was the jump to the next major version, with two focuses: a pharmacy module so clinics manage medicines in the same system, and a Zalo Mini App that puts the clinic right in the customer's hands. The shared goal of this period:

The clinic is closed and the staff are off — but the software keeps working.

Pharmacy module

Clinics no longer need a separate pharmacy system — medicines follow the customer's file from prescription all the way to stock dispatch.

  • Drug catalogue — manage medicines, manufacturers and suppliers.
  • Patient prescriptions — linked to the customer's file, with instructions; ready-made prescription templates let doctors prescribe quickly.
  • Retail sales — sell to walk-in buyers without creating a customer file.
  • Batch- and expiry-tracked drug stock — stock in, stock out, stock counts and per-branch inventory; earliest-expiring stock goes out first, with alerts for batches nearing expiry.
  • Supplier purchase orders — received orders are added to stock automatically.
  • Drug recalls — record recalled medicines and remove them from stock automatically.
  • National pharmacy integration — prescriptions sent to the national pharmacy system.
  • Reports — pharmacy reports and adverse drug reaction (ADR) reports.

Zalo Mini App — the clinic inside the customer's Zalo

The Zalo module went deeper into the system. Through the Zalo Mini App, customers can do a lot on their own, without clinic staff getting involved:

  • Book appointments at the clinic themselves.
  • Reschedule or cancel when something comes up.
  • See the treatment plans and services they have bought.
  • See how much they have paid and how much is left.
  • See how many sessions are done and how many remain.
  • Rate the service from 1 to 5 stars, and leave feedback if something went wrong.

Customers are more in control, and clinics field far fewer calls about schedules and balances — even outside opening hours.

Who it was for

Doctors, pharmacy and stock staff — and the clinic's customers, who use the Zalo Mini App.
