Exception Queue
A transaction that matches no posting rule is never dropped quietly — it lands in this queue with a reason attached. The accountant opens the screen, sorts it out, and runs it again.

| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
| 1. Run processing | Posts everything still waiting, once you have fixed the rule or the account. |
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Source | The document behind the item — a receipt, an invoice, a payment voucher… |
| Event type | The transaction type the software recognised, used to match rules. |
| Error | Why it has not posted: no rule for this event type, the rule's account is hidden, the period is locked… |
| Created at | When the item joined the queue. |
| Action | Post one item on its own once it is sorted. |
Working the queue
- Read the Error column to see what is in the way.
- Fix it: add the missing rule, unhide the account, or reopen the period if the item belongs to a locked one.
- Click Run processing — everything now eligible posts, and the queue empties.
Check the queue every Friday
An empty queue means every transaction of the week is in the ledger. Check regularly and you never have to trace hundreds of documents at month end.
