Leave Requests
This screen is the manager's approval desk: staff submit, whoever has the permission opens and decides. An approved request flows straight into the work schedule and the attendance sheet, so nobody writes it down twice.

Reading the table
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Staff | Who is asking. |
| Leave type | Annual, unpaid, statutory… |
| From date – To date | The period off. |
| Days | Days deducted from the leave balance. |
| Reason | Written by the employee on submission. |
| Status | Where the request stands. |
| Approved by | Who handled it. |
Handling a request
The buttons at the end of each row give four ways out:
| Action | When to use it |
|---|---|
| Approve | Agreed. Days come off the balance; schedule and attendance update. |
| Reject | Not agreed — the request closes. |
| Return | The request needs fixing: wrong dates, missing reason. A reason is required so the employee knows what to change before resubmitting. |
| Cancel | Cancels a submitted request. |
Returning beats rejecting
Reject a request with a wrong date and the employee starts over, with a record that looks like a refusal. Return with one line of explanation keeps the request and lets them fix it.
