Stock Export
Medicines leave the store for more reasons than sales. An expired batch has to be destroyed, goods go to another branch, faulty stock goes back to the supplier, figures have to be corrected — each of those is a stock issue, with a stated reason and an approver.

Illustration of the Stock export screen
| Area | What it is |
|---|---|
| 1. Export stock | Create a new issue. |
| 2. Import Excel | Load the medicines to issue from a file. |
| 3. Search and Issue date | Search by keyword or by date range. |
| 4. Filter, clear, refresh, columns | Narrow further and choose which columns show. |
Each row carries the Stock issue code, Issue type, Issue date, Total amount, Status and a Note. The ▸ arrow opens the medicines in that issue.
The five issue types
The Issue type column is the important one here — it says why the medicines left:
| Type | Used when |
|---|---|
| Disposal | Expired, broken or damaged stock, issued to be destroyed. |
| Transfer | Sending medicines to another branch or store of the clinic. |
| Return to supplier | Sending goods back to the supplier. |
| Adjustment | Correcting the figures to match reality after a stock check. |
| Other | Anything else — say what in the Note. |
Classifying correctly at the time is what makes the Returns / disposals report at period end reflect what actually happened, instead of being reconstructed from memory.
Issue statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending approval | Created, waiting for approval. |
| Approved | Approved — the medicines come out of stock. |
| Cancelled | Dropped; stock is unchanged. |
Medicines dispensed against a prescription or sold as a retail sale already come out of stock when handed over. This screen is for the other ways medicines leave.
